Fifth Season
Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Fifth Season built one of the most advanced high tech vertical farming operations in the country. Using the incredibly high quality product, they sell various greens as well as pre-packaged salads both with the highest standard of freshness.
Challenge
As Fifth Season prepared to launch their pre-packaged salads in a crowded but lackluster market space, they were in need of a brand update as well as a package design that captured their unique combination of farming and tech. They kept their logo but needed a strong, distinctive visual identity built around it.
Solution
Together we designed a fresh and modern look for FifthSeason’stheir salad packaging and brand. and, pPartnering with Spectacle Strategy, we also created several successful marketing campaigns featuring physical and digital applications.

The Custom Nike Air Force 1 high tops were a special gift for the Fifth Season CEO. Unfortunately, as far as I know, this project only made it as far as the concept stage.
Campaign 1
How it started
How it’s going
The first campaign hit during COVID and was based on a play off a trending meme. The campaign poked fun at how little people were getting done during COVID and that instead of feeling bad we should celebrate the #freshwins.
Campaign 2
Refresh Your Lunch Life
The second campaign brought with it a bright, vibrant and seductive photography campaign which became the hero of the visuals. With the COVID lock-down coming to an end, this direction took a tongue-in-cheek approach to people getting back out into the world. We treated each salad like a different type of “person of your dreams” with their own personalities based on flavor profile.
Campaign 3
PSA (Public Salad Announcement)
The third campaign was almost an extension of the second campaign with the continued use of the bright color backgrounds and large text. The difference was the messaging was based on the classic PSAs and was geared towards driving as these graphics would be featured primarily on billboards.
